When the dark intellect escaped the fire, man stood in there ashes of mother earth. For two hundred years their immortal emperor build Earth’s armies; But only Earth’s. Then the colonies of Mars and Venus rebelled against unjust imperial law. Harabec weathers, the greatest imperial knight joined the Martian rebellion. His brother Caanon lead the knights to Mars to suppress it. When Prometheus attacked again human blood already stained the planets. Mother Earth lay helpless, the time of terror had indeed returned.
I tell the story of the third and finally coming of Prometheus…. I tell the story of us all.

The year is 2828. more than 150 years have past since the destruction of Prometheus’ moon base and the cleansing of the Cybrids from the inner planetary system. Since then, humanity numbers have rallied to nearly 5 times the population from the beginning of Earthsiege. Mankind has Coloniesed Mars, Venus, Mercury and even Saturn’s moon Titan. Mercury stood merely as a TDF outpost while Mars, Venus and Titan play as mining colonies. Emperor Petrison however did not care about the colonies; instead he plundered Mars and Venus for its resources. In his mind, Earth was all while the colonies were nothing. Unhappy colonist demanded Freedom and equality in vain. They were powerless to change the emperor’s mind, nor challenge the emperor’s might. Then prospectors on Mars discovered a hidden cavern, fill with the weapons from a long dead alien race. In an instant the world changed, now colonial rebels could fight the emperor and hope to win, and fight they did. The flames of civil war burned across Mars.

2828.0998: Having been put in a cryo chamber at the end of Earthsiege II, his pod was inadvertently shipped off to Mars. His pod was set to open when Petreson ordered it, but Petreson had a hatred for Gierling. Most people thought the true heroic efforts in the first two Earthsieges came from Gierling’s mastery of the herculans rather than Petresons tactical genius. Petreson had told his guards to activate Gierlings pod so he could use Gierling to eradicate the rebels on both Mars and Venus.
When word of the pods unknown whereabouts, Petreson went ballistic and without knowing, shattering the telepathic kink that separated the minds of Prometheus and himself. The “New Fire” was unknowingly Petreson’s fault

Gierling awoke to find mole commands admiral Chenleu observing him awake.
“ We found your pod Revolving around Phobos orbital” Chenleu lied to Gierling, “ can we ask why you were sealed within this capsule?”
“ I am the son of Ambrose Gierling” he replied as he stepped out of his capsule, “ However, do not address me as Gierling.” Pausing for a moment Gierling realized he was not with Petreson’s men. His thoughts of payback flowed through his hybrid brain.
“I would like to know where exactly I am and who is in charge.” He said with an urgent tone.
“You’re on Mars in Mole Command HQ and your looking at who’s in charge of our entire free mars operation. My name is Admiral Chenleu”
“Intriguing” Gierling replied “ so how about you show me around then get me into a herc so I can see just how much more advanced things have gotten since I’ve been Asleep”
“Incase your wondering” Chenleu explained, “it’s 2828 and the controlling systems and weapons have improved far beyond what you could learn within the short timeframe we have before our major offensive.”
“Trust me” Gierling replied with his normal cocky attitude “ my father is Gierling so I’m pretty sure I can adapt to the new hercs.”
“Listen duster” Chenleu referred Gierling as because of the fact he was supposed to be unfamiliar with piloting hercs, “if you want to use a herc I’ll make you a deal; if you can complete the entire training process tomorrow by the end of the day with ninety percent and higher, I’ll give you a mission the day after.”
Gierling chuckled at this and the replied, “ make it ninety-five percent and you got yourself a deal.”

2828.1002: Gierling had passed the herc training with flying colors and was now suited up for his first mission as an anti imperial activist. Into the briefing room he walked and was surprised to find no one there. Walking over to a seat he noticed an informational grid on the wall of the building; one of which he had never seen before
“ Its called the omni-web” Chenleu said behind him looking for the mission briefing log, “Its always good to see the bullcrap the imp lice post so we can Counteract with the truth trying to get other people’s attention.
“Interesting” Gierling said as he looked at two of the reports

IMPERIAL POLICE (MARS): Imperial police Peacefully faced down striking miners at a facility near Tharsis city yesterday. Several miners were cited and released afterwards.

VOICE OF FREE MARS: “Cited and released?” who are they kidding; the Imp Lice left ‘em bleeding in the street after “citing” them with stun staves!

Chenleu finally found the mission briefing and began to explain what Gierlings first mission would be.
“Front and center duster we got ourselves a situation” he explained, “some of our boys did a half-ass job scorching an Imperial police flyer that was sniffing around where it shouldn’t have been. fortunate for the lice pilot he managed to set down way outa their range. There’s a good chance the pilot saw something he shouldn’t have, so u got cleanup job you Roj?”
“Christ and Hunter” Gierling said in disbelief, “Is that all?”
“Oh yeah I forgot to mention” Chenleu exclaimed, “ the imps have probably deployed salvage rigs by now so move quick, and keep your ears open for the Imperial radio frequencies. We’ve assigned you an emancipator with The outfitted weapons you had in training for this mission; are you ready?”
“I’m siked as hell” Gierling said sarcastically, “ lemmy at those basterds.”

Gierling stepped into the cockpit of his emancipator and saw a navigational point show up on his screen
“ We’ve located the flyer” Chenleu, “however so be advised we are picking up enemy movement in your vicinity.”
Gierling merely took this a precautious warning that he may actually have a challenge in completing his objective. After coming within kellick of the crash site, he heard, “tac-com this is guard dog one, I’ve got a reb vulture coming in and I request immediate assistance!”
Gierlings radar showed an indicator and he locked on to it, revealing a lightly armored Basilisk herc with merely 2 small lasers on it.
“ They’re just making this to easy for me.” Gierling thought, “ ah well a kills a kill. With a few accurate shots to the cockpit of the Basilisk from the two alien blasters mounted on his herc, the cockpit Disintegrated and the rest of the herc fell apart. Wasting no effort or time Gierling faced the ship and fired five shots simultaneously destroying the main bay of the ship and killing the pilot.
“ Mission complete” Gierling sighed, “Now can I please get some sort of entertai…”
“Look out duster five talons coming up your six” Chenleu shouted in the radio.
Without hesitation Gierling faced the oncoming assault and fire 10 successive shots destroying one of the hercs and lowing the shield of another. Quickly turning around and shifting the herc into reverse and unleashing a barrage of blaster shots that knocked out legs of two talons and Destroying the cockpits of the other two.
“ Area is clear of enemy presence” Chenleu stated, “return to access tunnel Garson six-two gamma”
“All in a days work” Gierling thought “all in a days work.”

“Not bad duster” Chenleu sated as Gierling walked into the debriefing room
“This op confirms what the training results say about you, your one helava pilot! All of mole command agrees with my proposal; you’re transferred to Harabec’s crew.”
“Harabec?” Gierling curiously asked “who is he and where is he from”?
“Supposedly Harabec is from earth, heard he got in some kind of trouble there but, well he’s the man here on mars; best field commander in the show. Congrats duster you’re running with the big boys now.”
Gierling smirked and walked out of the briefing room with high expectations for his next mission

2828:1131 Gierling had received a mission to escort a supply convoy to Harabec’s main outpost three days before. Gierling Now had extra equipment for his emancipator as a reward. As Gierling walked into Harabec’s briefing room, he overheard the battle tactics he that his squad mate Mary and him were planning
“No I think our best choice is to take the star-bright web, in sector six online” Harabec had spoken before Gierling entered the room.
“Ah duster, welcome” he spoke with a mildly happy tone “ I’m Harabec, but you can call me Bec.”
“My pleasure to meet you Bec” He said while shaking hands.
“Word is you’re pretty hot so mole command volunteered you for my strike Crew” He laughed “lucky you huh?”
“Depends” Gierling said “what kind of Mission we talking bout?”
“I’ve never seen a duster this enthusiastic about his first mission with Harabec in forever” Mary explained, “Harabec, elaborate the mission to the duster will ya?”
“Ok hears the deal,” Harabec stated, “ Mole command is testing out some new weapons, and the imperial police get to be our guinea pigs! Were going to jump an imp lice convoy between pei-shan and Syrtis city.”
“So it’s strictly hit and run type scenario right?” Gierling ask while thinking back to his jackal warfare he used in Earthsiege I
“Exactly” Harabec replied “ now what I’m mainly doing is seeing what this new Magneto Fusion Assault Cannon, M-FAC for short and you can do; and then bug out of there before imp reinforcements arrive.”
“We’ll take the usual mining routes to the target” Mary explained “that way we can stay out of sight of imperial scouts.”
“Ok” Harabec announced “The Systems are green; lets hit the tunnels

Gierling jackknifed himself into the cockpit of his emancipator and started out towards nav alpha where Bec, Mary and him were to rendezvous. Unknowledgeable of the “usual” mining routes Coupled with the fact he had to install a slower engine to equip the M-FAC EMP combo he arrived 15 minutes behind schedule.
“Pick up the pace duster” Harabec yelled “or we’re gonna miss the dam convoy.”
Gierling pushed the engine to it’s limits to keep up with Harabec’s Super rigged apocalypse. About a kellick and a half later Mary hit the comm. System explaining
“guys it’s Mary, I got the convoy on long range scan; we’ll run into ‘em any second now.
“roj that” Bec Replied, “M-FAC is red and hot, and ready to waste some lice”
10 seconds passed before the convoy came into sight. 5 Terran supply trucks came in firing range with 6 heavily armored basilisks escorting
“Fire at will” Bec Yelled “Free Mars.” Instantaneously Harabec fired all his weapons and disintegrated one of the supply trucks.
“This ones mine” Mary said disabling the treads of another convoy vehicle.
“For Mother earth” Gierling yelled engaging the lead basilisk.
“Uhh all units this is convoy D-B Twelve” said one of the trucks pilots “we have pirate pursuers, requesting reinforcements.”
Gierling passed the lead basilisk and fire a blast from the M-FAC mounted on his roof. Both the noise and the recoil effect gave Gierling a G Force he had not experienced since the nuking of Prometheus’ lunar base.
“Convoy this is Thunder Patrol” came the reinforcement reply “we’re on our way maintain your signal.”
Taking out these basilisks was harder than Gierling thought as blast after blast connected with each herc. Just when he thought it as hard enough,
“Lightning patrol here convoy” an imperial said, “we’re about twelve kellicks away, hang tight.
“Convoys done Bec” Mary stated
“roj, engage the lice now” Harabec replied.”
As Mary and Bec turned to face the imperial escort they saw only four of the six herc still standing!
“Assistance is appreciated” Gierling barked
Masterfully Harabec fire each of his weapons one after another with aim that could rival Gierling’s own. Gierling quickly turned his attention to the escort leader and engaged. Mary took the weakest one and fired a perfect shot, overloading the reactor core and destroying the herc.
“Yes” she exclaimed, “that had to hurt.”
Not to be outdone Gierling took it one step further and landed both shots, disconnecting the basilisk’s foot from its leg. As he turned to finalize the destruction of the escort he observed Harabec 3 weapons at one herc’s cockpit and 3 at the other’s.
“Could he be,” Gierling thought, “no, he can’t be Victor. He looks nothing like him.”
“Alright” Harabec said enjoying every moment “I think we got their attention, lets move it before their buddy’s show up”
Gierling’s radar showed 3 blips of movement behind him.
“This is gonna turn into a game of one ups man ship” Gierling said.
When Gierling locked on he identified a talon and turned to Gierling charged head on at them. Before they could react Gierling fire his EMP at each talon and then passed right in-between them.
“Watch your six duster” Harabec said “I’m escorting Mary back to the tunnel,” hold ‘em off for me will ya.”
Gierling didn’t reply and faced the talon patrol. With the same effectiveness at the basilisk he fire both weapons, killing the pilot of the lead talon.
Wasting no effort he fired and destroyed the torso of the one on his left, ran by the last one, rotated and disabled the last talon.
“Woo” Gierling yelled, “Splashed that one.”
“Get over here duster” Harabec Ordered, “We got company”
Gierling locked on to Mary’s signal and sped toward her. Her HUD status looked bad: cockpit at 35 percent Armor, weapons at 25 percent, right leg service at 40 percent, left leg at 15 percent armor and torso at 5 percent armor
“All units this is Sky-Wasp four” a female voice said, “We’ve spotted the pirates heading towards sector 7-B.”
“Sky-Wasp four this is lightning patrol we’re on em” was the reply
Gierling rendezvoused with Bec and Mary concerned about Mary’s status
“Mary it’s the duster, are you ok” Gierling asked
“Look out minotaurs, 270 degrees” Mary yelled
“Fine, You want some?” Harabec frustratingly said turning to the oncoming hercs.
Gierling locked on to the one closest to him and fired without hesitation. His only thoughts were to keep Mary alive. Gierling accelerated head on at his adversary and didn’t slow down even when the minotaur was striking him directly. He kept the pressure on connecting with shot after shot of his EMP, waiting for the opportunistic moment to fire the energy consuming M-FAC.
“And stay down” Bec yelled. Gierling realized Bec must have defeated his opponent. When the moment struck upon Him, Gierling fire point blank at the back of the cockpit and disabled both the engine and the life support system on the herc.
“Lets go duster Mary’s probably waiting for us at the tunnel” Bec acknowledged.
“Wait, I though her engine was at half capacity” Gierling questioned.
“We were only about half a kellick away from the tunnel duster” Harabec explained, “didn’t you change your nav point reader?”
“Guess not” Gierling said.
